What drew you to getting involved with the Center?
I would love to sit with you over a cup of coffee and tell you how God led me to answer His call and say “Yes” to serving the Center as CEO. There are too many details to share here, but I am confident that God has orchestrated my steps. My lifetime of ministry to children, women and families is now focused on the battle for the lives of His tiniest image bearers by holding out hope and help to their mothers and fathers.
What has impacted you most about working at the Center?
I am amazed by the dedication and strength of our staff and volunteers. The work here is not easy. Every day we have literal life and death conversations with our clients. Yet, our team leans on the Lord every step of the way. They respond to every client with compassion and care, without judgement. And I am blessed to have this front row seat, overwhelmed by the evidence of God’s faithfulness day after day.
Is there a particular moment or experience that stands out to you?
The first time I was asked to be a sonogram witness for an abortion-minded client was especially impactful for me. She saw the fuzzy images of her baby and heard the sound of her baby’s heartbeat. I stood to the side praying that this young mother’s heart would be stirred toward the Life growing inside of her. She left still undecided about her baby. It reinforced to me that ALL of us have a role to fulfill in loving without judgment and helping struggling mamas choose Life for their babies. Whether volunteers, staff members, donors or prayer warriors, God multiplies each of our gifts to empower women and men to choose Life.
