What drew you to getting involved with the Center?
I attended one of FWPC’s events many years ago and was very moved by the testimonial given by one of the clients and by the passion for the unborn expressed by the CEO. A few years later, I felt the leading of the Spirit to go visit with leadership at the Center and see if there were volunteer opportunities. I already believed in the importance of the life of the unborn and became more convicted to serve once I learned more about the mission of the Center and saw how they served those who came through the doors.
What has impacted or surprised you most about serving at the Center?
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of something that saves lives of the precious unborn and changes the hearts of the mothers. It humbles me to see how the staff does creates an opportunity that saves that baby and also brings those mothers and even fathers to the foot of the cross to surrender their lives to Jesus.
What moment or experience stands out to you?
I’ve attended many of the galas through the years and they are always very moving and have created many memorable experiences. The concert with Selah, the humor of Michael Jr. and one of the most moving was when we had Lauren Chandler from The Village Church for a Spring event. So many wonderful evenings that helped to raise funds and showed God’s power to move hearts for the unborn.
